Well, this is my first attempt at blogging. I plan to keep a log of my preparation for World Masters M6 Pursuit Championships which are here in my home town of Sydney, Australia.
I'm relatively inexperienced in pursuiting but because of the nature of the event, everything being measureable and quantifiable, it has really captured my imagination.
Have had limited success in the events contested to date, but at our recent national Championships in April, achieved a minor breakthrough which has given me the encouragement to "shoot for the stars" and work towards cracking the 2min 30sec barrier for the 2000m pursuit. Current best (at the Nationals) is 2m 34.02sec. Don't know if it's possible yet, but should be fun finding out.
Stay tuned,
Mike
